Casa Matei Pension is the first cultural pension in Romania (2022), initiator and organizer for 10 years of the first rural festival to promote a local brand: the “Festival of Plescoi Carnauts“.
Also, Casa Matei has been a supporter of the Buzaului County Geopark project since its inception.
Casa Matei is a warm and welcoming four daisy guesthouse, set on the banks of the Buzau River. It has a professional team, restaurant with terrace and garden, conference room, library, sports ground, swimming pool, etc.
It is the right place for conferences, team-building, camps, training camps, family tourism, with 40 accommodation places and 80-100 seats in the restaurant/conference room.
It promotes the slow food concept and recipes that have won medals at gastronomy competitions: beans from Ciolanu, muddy volcanoes, duck with noodles, spicy frying pan from Plescoi, etc.
