Mead is an alcoholic drink made by fermenting honey in water with yeast. We, along with a few other meaderies around the world, have taken a different approach to mead. We look to the future rather than the past, away from high-alcohol or overly sweet mead. We have adapted the taste of mead for a modern palette, transforming the world’s oldest drink into a modern drink.
Our products contain honey from producers in the Buzăului Valley. In this way, we try to help them to get the best value for their goods at a good price and without high transportation costs, with a low carbon footprint. By supporting beekeepers in the area we are helping to increase the local economy and the number of hives, and the bees are helping the whole ecosystem.
As mead producers we feel responsible to capture the essence of the nectar collected from millions of flowers, to preserve in a bottle a corner of the Buzăului Valley to share with the world.
