Mead is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting honey in water using yeast. We, along with a few other meed brewers around the world, took a different view of mead. We look to the future rather than the past, away from the high-alcohol or overly sweet mead. We’ve adapted the taste of mead for a modern palette, turning the world’s oldest drink into a modern-day beverage.
Our products are made of honey from producers in the Buzau Valley. In this way we try to help them to get the most out of their products at a good price and without high transport costs, with the smallest possible carbon footprint. By supporting local beekeepers we help the local economy and the number of hives to grow, and the bees help the whole ecosystem.
As mead producers we feel a responsibility to capture the essence of nectar collected from millions of flowers, to preserve in a bottle a corner of the Buzau Valley to share with the world.
